About Frank | St. Petersburg, FL Drum Teacher

My drumming journey started at 12 years old with a pair of sticks and my bedroom dresser. From there I progressed to a snare drum and finally my first drum set.  At that point I began taking drum lessons and playing in rock l bands.

I continued studying and at the age of 18, I began to teach drums at a local music school.  I immediately fell in love with teaching and sharing whatever knowledge I had with others.  After high school and some college in Brooklyn, I attended Berklee College of Music.  It was an eye opening experience, where I met many world class musicians.

After leaving Berklee College, I continued my studies with several excellent teachers, including Joe Cusatis and Cheech Iero, all the while playing in various groups around the New York metro area.

Raising a young family eventually led me out of the music business for several years, but I coninued to play in Church Worship groups and taking on the occasional student  As my children grew I was able to once again to focus on music. For the last 13 years I have been a full time working musician and teacher in the Tampa Bay area  I spent 10 years teaching at the Bringe School of Music in St. Petersburg, and currently teach at my home studio.  I have worked with hundreds of students ranging from 5 to 82 years old.  I continue to be a student of the drums and all things musical, and would love to help you reach your own drumming goals
